Before: Here we have a case where there is just not enough healthy tooth structure left to predictably restore the tooth long term.
When doing extractions and dental implants in the aesthetic zone , every care and consideration should be given to ensure that the hard and soft tissue profiles are reserved at all costs.
After: By retaining a shield of the original root of the tooth , the normal physiological bone resorption and remodelling (which can lead to disastrous results) does not happen.
